So this sprint car chassis... I thought at first it was a converted Kyosho Sideways because the cage is white plastic, but then I looked at some photos of the Sideways. Definitely not it. It's a molded cage, and it bolts to a nicely-finished aluminum plate that's drilled to accept Losi parts, so definitely mass-produced. Hardware is SAE, not metric.

My best guess is Custom Works, because the cage looks a lot like this one, only in white:

Can't seem to find any info, though. Anybody ever seen one?

Well, I opened up the gearboxes. I don't know what he was talking about with "metal gears," they look like the standard plastic ones to me. But all 3 gearboxes have full bearings, and two have what look like new (or nearly new) gears, and the third is totally usable.

With the addition of a few little bits and pieces, I can probably build 3 complete cars: a nice buggy, a sprint car, and a complete clunker made up of all the leftovers. Knowing me, that one will probably end up being my favorite...

the Thorpe metal gears are the same color as stock Losi gears (for the most part)...tap them to see :)

Quite a haul of parts! Certainly more than perhaps you had bargained for given what was shown in the ebay pics!

& I agree - my favourite JRX2 is my runner car built out of useable but not cosmetically perfect parts & a beat up old shell - I absolutely love it! The new built car look pretty on the shelf.... but the runner lives!

Couldn't resist a little "let's see what she can do" run... wow, this thing runs great! Has way more steering than an RC10. Quick, too, with an old Speedworks "Pole Position" motor. So far, I kinda like the "dark side"...

Cookies, candy... Say, you guys aren't fattening me up so you can eat me, are you? Cause if so, I'm going back to RC10s...

I have some AE vehicles but they seem to sit on the shelf. Of course so do my vintage losi vehicles till I get some more speedo's and servo's.
