Cool story - shame it didn't work out for FSR... strangely I don't remember my friend really having many problems with his bullet although I know it wasn't raced for long, IIRC he got whilst on holiday in Florida from Superior Hobbies & came with an pre-painted 'Andy's' Stratus shell..... that I ended up re-producing on all of his shells for a few years afterwards

Awesome!!!
I have lusted after that car so much in the late 90's when the touring car category really took off, but I was also worried about spending my hard-earned cash on a "smaller" brand stuff... These were the times where companies were still experimenting with unconventional (read: not YR4-like) architectures, and some really cool stuff came out... Corally C4 with nitro suspension (serpent impulse)... Kawada Alcyon and the vertical frame... Anyone remember the OVA? That was a cool car too!!!
I ended up running a YR4-USA and then a (two, actually) IWC SW, then TC3, then Axis2, then I gave up DTM for a while then I went back to a TC3 and so on so forth
Given all I'm reading now about the FSR I'm kind of happy I didn't purchase one bitd
Didn't the Calandra crew run (and distribute) them too?
I might pick one up now... better remorses than regrets
Thanks for sharing!
Paul

For the $50-70 they sell for on eBay it was a great price and fun kit to build. It is not a super easy kit to build, there are steps that leave you thinking… Which is kind of fun as it makes it more of a puzzle.

Scratch the above comment lol. Just won a nitro sedan for $60 shipped and sent a message asking if he would sell a pro kit outright for $70. Yup. So I got a couple more kits to play with while I wait for the damn rc10 classic lol.
If anyone wants a bullet sport cheap meet me in the sale forum

At over an ounce heavier I would fear it would break the shelf!

Well, after some hot trade action, I am now the proud owner of the Sport. (This is why I'm not allowed to go to the pound anymore; all the strays end up coming home with me!) Nice car, reminds me of a cross between my old RS4 Pro, and the Xray T1 I bought for cheap used. Sort of a comtemporary of both, now that I think about it.
Kinda want to run it, kinda don't want to get it dirty. Also kinda regret not being able to build it myself. Maybe I'll take it back apart, then rebuild it, THEN run it.

These are really cool looking! I was wondering about the rear body posts. Do they actually move up and down with the suspension in the rear? It sure looks as though it is set-up that way...
