The polish has a lot to do with it. Tried many, but the red Wenol in the tube works best.

im more of a satin guy than i am mirror, but for the bling ive had good results with nevr-dull.
when i would strip annodizing, i would hit it with a scotch brite first (after stripping with yellow top easy off), then some wet or dry 400 or so, then nevr-dull.
parts with small nooks and crannies are a pita with just about anything. but you can wrap some nevr-dull around the end of a qtip and get in those spots better than you can a polishing wheel.
