So you actually cut the tape when its on the shell? Carefully i guess?
As for your flames, after you do the base coat of the car, do yoi take the flame masking off and then do you colors by hand, ie do the out side red first, then orange then yellow ?? Sorry stealing all your secrets!

Yeah. What I do is use a sharpie to draw the flames on the outside of the body, then apply masking tape. The sharpie shows through the tape and you can trace that with a razor to cut the tape. Then, for my standard scheme, I do black, then blue, then back it in white. Then I remove the tape and do red, then yellow, then back it in white.

A sharpie is a felt tip marker, permanent black ink (doesn't matter if it's permanent, since you have a protective film over the body, and that's what you're drawing on. You can use a paper towel to scrub off the ink on that film if you make a mistake). I back everything in white to bring out the color. Otherwise, it looks dull.

Ahah. So i guess you have to be pretty careful when cutting the tape that you dont cut the lexan? Or does that no matter too much?
That 91 you mentioned in your opening thread...you didnt grab that if ebay a little while back from England? Carbon fibre chassis?

Yes, you have to be careful not to cut the lexan. It's easier to do with a fresh blade, since you don't have to press as hard to make a clean cut.
The '91 Works was off of eBay in the UK, yes.

It appears to be all original parts, with the exception of the battery braces, which are old Schumacher units.
