the protech isnt symmetrical, you will drive yourself insane trying to get the body to sit square on top of the pan since the right and left aren't the same.

Sounds like the AMC Pacer.

No body mounts today, Monday I'm sure.

I forgot they shipped using the USPS, so it won't be coming today obviously.

Can you do a top down shot of that body (ie...do the rear tires fit inside?)

rear tires and fronts will stuff inside if you get the body just right. for the front theres a little contact at max steer on full compression.

at least the one i had mounted up years ago fit that way...

I'll try and get a picture tonight. The fit looks close, I think it will work OK. Apparently the Team Bluegroove bodies are a little smaller than the originals, since I don't think they are the original molds.

Yes, they are backpoured from an existing body so there is shrinkage

I know all about shrinkage:

Hard to stay motivated when it is this cold out. We only have a couple inches of dry powdery snow, and it's not bad when it is calm, but with the wind this weather just sucks. I'm hoping to be in the Portland, OR area this time next year, hopefully I can afford a house with a yard big enough for a small track LOL

Looks like there is plenty of room to clear the tires, front and rear. The front shock tower is off to fiddle with the CRP mounts I got, and drill new shock mounting holes. I don't know how it will fit with the long front arms, I'll have a CE together sometime this weekend maybe.

The body can only go so low before it hits the shock tower, but as it is it hits the wing tubes. I'm not sure if the original version would clear the tower fully or not.

So the AE Toyota body is wider than the AE Ford baja :( I just did some eyeballing and measuring.

I look forward to seeing your project progress :)

I'm hoping to. Tired of central NY, looks like a nice part of the country, and I have a nephew (and soon to be twin nieces or nephews) in southern Oregon, and I'd like to be closer to them. I need to sort out my house here first, so probably summer at the earliest.
