My outer bearing is snug with no play
however
The inner bearing wobbles really bad in the re-re hub

There's no play at all in my original hubs, so I'm gonna replace mine with a set of original 10T hubs

Made some more progress on my build. I must say that I am loving it. I am not 100% finished yet. Still need to mount the wing.

So, without further ado....

Went with a different front shock tower option as well.

Upgraded the rear shock tower to provide me with more shock placement options.

I plan on racing or running this buggy. As such, after some initial play time with it, I might be...

- upgrading the shocks with some Big Bores
- swapping steering blocks to a 25 or 30 degree option
- minor tweaks to other things along the way that will most likely be cosmetic

This has been a fun project over the last little while.

That's a good Idea using the Factory Team knurled nuts on the battery strap. I'll have to copy that.

HI!... How do you swap out batteries with it being hard wired to the ESC like that? Or does that LiPo have female connectors built right into it? Dam I hate LiPo hard packs. lol

What wheels are they and where can I buy them? They are 2.2, correct? I was planning on dish wheels but like the look of those. Definitely different.

Thanks scr8p! Beat me to the punch.

I like these wheels as it does add a little different look.

And yes, they are 2.2.

I was able to take this car to the track today and ran a few packs through it.

Before I could even get it started, I had several guys take notice of the car(s) that I had there. All vintage of course. They were really taken back by it all with comments to their little boys that happened to be there..."son, this is what I used to run back in the day." They really liked what I had done to the Re-release.... so much so, that one guy went straight away to the hobby shop to buy one. The inspiration in conversation that was just floating around the pits was very cool. This is what it is all about for me. I loved it!

On the track, the car performed sweet. No issues or tweaks needed at all. The car handled well to me. Granted, I am not a great driver, but I was holding my own for sure.

I just loved the looks of the car going around the track. It was neat to see.

I am excited about how this build has turned out. Final pics will be posted soon.

Here are some parting shots of my build. Very pleased with this little car. So fun to build and tinker with. Very responsive and capable on the track.

Enjoy!
