My munchkin is 3 and she loves daddy's "monster" cars. She's pretty good at holding the wheel all the way left and driving in circles. I'm thinking of getting her something toy grade for Christmas. I myself got a kyosho ultima at the age of 8, and managed to develop enough skill to be racing stock class with a losi lx-t by the age of 12. Funny thing is I think is was probably better then than now!

I started at 7 and it turned into an addiction - so I think it's a bad idea

My boys first rides at almost 4.
My boy started at an early 4 yo with a Tamiya Blackfoot Extreme. He is now going on 9yo.
It has a few hop parts on it. He was a pretty damn good driver at that age. He also got a Clodbuster and HPI Sprint2 at age 5.
He drives those pretty good as well. We haven't gotten them out since spring because life has been busy, but he still asks to get them out.
Our rides now.
I told him we would get them out more this next year, our batteries are about shot and we haven't had extra $$$ to get new ones thus me not wanting to take them out as much either.
