If Tim chimes in again, I wonder which one he ran?

Ah, I heard that the second time I watched it. When he handed his car over to someone else. I guess I'll have to watch it again. I'd forget my name I it wasn't written on my underwear lol.

Edit: I remember them saying it a few time throughout the race too. I guess I really didn't pay attention the first time.

Charlie don't surf wrote:...I don't care who says that the B4 wheel setup doesn't cause poor steering, I watched BK and Tim have crap center off steering- I've wheeled one with that problem, and all that it took was the correct axles and wheels and it was gone.

BK looked very smooth with his car-

Funny thing is that if you "BK" a B4 front wheel by cutting the inside bead track off, you have what is in reality a Duratrax Thunder Tiger wheel. GT axle shmaxle. 8)

Modern wheels are wide so they have the king pins tucked up inside the backside, probably to steer better. With the "pizza cutters" on our vintage RC10 tubs, when you look down on the front end, we should have king pins you can see, roughly at the back of the inside tire edge.

So BK was running a Reedy Sonic 7T brushless in there. That is a 427W motor. By comparison, a brushed 12TD, which is more like what was run BITD, has an output of ~ 220-230W, although with a comparable top end (~ 40,000 rpm).

Kinwald, Cav, and Maifield were running some big motors in there. I need more details on the worlds kit, I need my AE fix.

Anyone know if there's video of the demo class race taken on Sunday?

I ran the blue and yellow RC10WC with white wheels. On the saturday race Cav wasn't able to run his car because his dad forgot to put t he e-clip on the topshaft so the spur gear moved to one side. So, after a bit of racing I decided to hand him my remote to give my car a spin since it was dialed!

We ran again on sunday but I haven't seen any video surface. The Sunday race was much better since we had a better game plan on how we wanted to run the demo, so Kinwald and I were racing each other while the rest of the RC10 classics battled it out.

Tim, thanks for all your work on the rc10 and the worlds car. it is awesome to have parts available again and to have a fun car to drive for those of us who don't race or use to race.

i hope footage of sunday surfaces online.

I agree the Sunday race was much better. Especially seeing it in person. I brought my son to the track about 15 mins before the Demo race started, watched Kinwald doing some final checks, Cavaleri taking pictures with his family and spot checking his RC10, saw Cliff Lett was wandering in the background and before I knew it the race was on. It was a great race. The world cars seemed to gain a farther lead from the gold pans which I am still curious as to why the WCs were so much faster. I believe Kinwald won the race which was great to see.

I wish there would have been more races for the classics b/c I would have stayed longer. Left shortly after the Demo race.

I believe I heard the announcer say there were giving a WCRC10 away yesterday.

Hopefully a video will show up somewhere.

Looks like Kinwald was running the reedy shorty pack, with the battery cup moved back to compensate. Looks pretty cool!

They had a raffle going to benefit the Parkinson's foundation in memory of Mike Reedy. They gave away some cool stuff including an RC10 Classic re-re and a couple of cool mini frigid coolers from Monster Energy drinks.
