Kinda sad 1/10 gas trucks have died off, it was a great class in the 90's and early 00's. Not terribly expensive, had great performance and fun to drive. Nitro seems to be struggling across the board compared to electric.

Hobbyists these days are a different breed and it's sad that many do not become involved like most of us did when we started. Many nitro cars end up in the closet because the owner can't just start it and play with it, and can't be bothered tinkering with it. Another issue is quite a few people buy the cheap Chinese nitro cars that run poorly at the best of times and aren't even worth bothering with. I can see how they would put someone off but how do you convince them to spend twice as much for something decent.

Nitro is also hard to teach/learn as there is no "black and white" settings on the needles, it is only something that comes with experience.

My first nitro car was an RC10GT with an OS .12. It was easy to tune and very reliable, not to mention loads of fun.

Me neither. I find the noise very annoying, and with modern electrics, you have all the power and run-time you could ask for, without the mess, refueling, gas motor maintenance, etc.

Thanks for the feedback.

My 3rd ish car was a used 10T that was converted to a GT. Took months for me when I was 13.
Loved it. Still have one. Still run gas in the summers, but it is 1/8 onroad. Absolute adrenalin rushes combined with endurance racing. Unique to the hobby until battery swaps are dialed in.

One for the debaters and cross training...
Enjoy!

Been wanting to talk about the "Bonafide Hustler" for some time. Craigslist is no place for half steppin. Happy Tuesday!
