There´s a Spanish guy José, who´s doing the Mid´s bumper and the Optima tires - I asked him why he wasn´t doing the optima bumper, and he said someone else was allready working on the Optima bumpers.
I´ve noticed a couple of auctions "Optima style front bumper" they look spot on to the original, but must be repros hence the name.
Opening bid on these auctions was something around 60 usd IIRC - and that´s a bit too high for me.
If price was halfed on these, I´d take 10 and mount them on anything with four wheels :D

To be honest I haven't really looked at much RC gear lately so for all I know someone might've started making them. I see someone had a lot of Optima Mid/Lazer parts 3D printed at Shapeways and are now available for anyone that needs them. This is what needs to happen with ALL the hard to find "over priced hens teeth" parts.

I just noticed Pargu's chin skidplate repro myself, this morning. One question I sent him asked how thick it is. The original Optima & Javelin had an overly weak 1.2mm plate, which was subsequently beefed up to 2mm for the Turbo Optima/Salute. The 2mm job is better but still gets bent too easily.
