Heh...I would've done the same thing. That was a score. I also would've kept the aluminum wheels. I'd have no use for a ridiculously-overpriced and over-valued, under-performing RC car like the Jealousy...the profit would be much appreciated.

Has anyone else noticed vintage R/C prices in general have gone through the roof lately? Hopefully it's just one of those periodic spikes and will come down soon.

I've never noticed them dropping the past 15yrs...

Over the past few months all the stuff I look at has seemingly doubled or tripled in price. That doesn't mean that's what the items are selling for, just what they're being listed for. It's good if you're trying to sell obviously, but not so much as a buyer.

IDK, there's still good deals out there. They are usually people that dont know what they have and how much they sell for. I just picked up a real early, unrun newbuilt RC12e with box and all the extras that are usually missing for $99. Just gotta keep your eyes open.

I've noticed the prices dropping or relatively flat on most parts and rollers, particularly rc10. Others have stayed the same, and the oddball rare items still staying around the same, if not creeping up slightly.

Hey look, it's for sale yet again. The seller has now listed it at $1400 as fair market value because that's about what the final bid was in the previous listing. But the winner of that auction must have changed their mind and the seller must be a pretty understanding guy. Or maybe the seller knew exactly what they were doing and used the bidders to determine this fair market value.
