"A woman called 911 after a man sporting chain mail, a battle helmet, shield, sword and staff ran into a Portland, Ore., intersection and attacked her car."
"The woman reported the fighting man as a pirate on May 13, but Bass challenged that title and told police he was a “high elf engaged in battle with the evil Morgoth.”
"Bass also admitted to taking LSD before the swordfight, he told officers."

Who doesn't?? I drop acid before any battle, but I prefer a Morning Star over a sword. It's not quite as nimble as a sword, but what you lose in mobility you more than make up for with bludgeoning power.

Ok, not Portland- but happened in Oregon and I can't quit laughing at the story
Calhoon told investigators he'd held his breath intentionally, apparently participating in a superstitious game.
"Upon entering a tunnel, passengers hold their breath," the lifestyle magazine Complex explained last year. (Emphasis added.) "Parents love this game because if you pass out for a while after holding your breath too long, everybody wins. Unless you're the driver, then everybody loses."
A spokesman for the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety said it doesn't have any statistics to indicate how often drivers pass out after choosing to deprive themselves of air.
