You can tell Summer is almost here when the fish are biting again. My 8 year old has finally taken an interest in fishing the lake.
It is rarely fished so the Bass and Bluegill are pretty plentiful and on the prowl.

Not with a Rattle Snake- very venomous and very very quick. Not worth the risk. Any other non-venomous snake gets picked up with pine-cone grabbers and tossed into the woods (since they keep most venomous snakes away) but Rattles must die-

Yeah, rattlers are nothing to toy with. Better safe then sorry. They are also quite territory driven. If you do manage catch and release one, they will spend the rest of their life trying to get back to their home range (this is also quite stressful for them). Also, they often come in female/male pairs, so if you see one, there's a good chance a chance a second one is near by. -J

I think Bob was referring to females, but don't worry Marlon, if you were my neighbor and you were cutting your lawn in a pair of daisy dukes I'd be at my window with binoculars in one hand and my........ umm beer in the other.

It's getting pretty hot down here in the south. I've been riding my bmx cruiser for a few hours during the mid day heat to prepare for a brutally hot summer. The Gulf of Mexico is still a refreshing 85 degrees... should top 90 degrees soon
