Thanks!

They are Yaiba Racing parts. I don't know anything about Yaiba - I just found them on eBay.

I received my replacement axle from AE and the Lunsford turnbuckles, so I was able to make some progress over the weekend. I still have several little things to do like sourcing a few of the correct screws and other bits and probably send the little blue parts out to change them to red. The electronics are in, too, so I should have all of that mounted up soon. Anyway, it's getting closer. :D

It's hard to see in these photos, but as others have already discovered trying to use 12mm shocks, there's a bit too much offset (front-to-rear tilt) on the rear shocks. I don't want to use spacers between the bulkhead and tower and mount the shocks in back of the tower, so I'm working on an idea for the rear tower that may fix this issue. Stay tuned.

Also, I'm not sure I like the B5M wing mounts, although they mounted up perfectly to the RCCW shock tower and I'm sure they'll work great. It's just that there's already enough OIN influence in this kit by default and I really don't want this buggy to look like just another OIN build (I think I have the OIN thing out of my system now - well, maybe   ). Plus, they will make mounting the body a little tricky. But I'll be running this one, so I want something a little more secure than the bulkhead wing tubes. I may go with some aluminum wing mounts instead and put these on my ION runner. Not sure.

That is a perfect mix of white and black with the red anno. 8) Hard to pull off for sure.
Like you said, using the big bore shocks creates interesting angles when spacing them out from the shock tower for clearance(You have clearance Clarence... ) I wonder if that will affect handling very much?
Looking forward to seeing your solution.

Curious, why dont you want to move the rear tower forward to run the shocks behind? Personally, I love the way my car runs with it reversed. I have gone back to "small" bore shocks but left the spacing alone, still running them behind the spaced out tower.

I do like the B5 mounts on there, my B4s may come off for a set of those.

You can run zx5 mounts too, that's what I have on my gold pan, looks pretty clean.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I'm feeling pretty good about how it's turning out so far aesthetically. I've built up a couple of red chassis cars before - one with all back plastic and the other with all white. Others here have pulled it off, but I was never truly happy with either one of mine. Red is an awesome color for a chassis, but it's tricky when you start adding parts to it.

I considered going that route, but I'd like to keep the stock configuration, if at all possible. Mostly, I just wanted to see if I could get it to work. Stubbornness, I suppose.

As it turns out, it may not take as much work as I'd originally thought. The V2 aluminum shock caps have a new design that provides a tad more clearance.

It may not look like much, but that extra bevel makes a difference. I think it's going to work just fine with some spacers and maybe a little Dremel work on the tower. Had I not used the 3MM thick tower, I probably wouldn't need to use the Dremel.

Got any close up of how the rear shock fit now? I'm thinking of using big bores on my Worlds rere and I also didn't want to bring the rear shock tower forward, so just wondering how things were working out?

Unfortunately, Anthony, I haven't been able to work on this for a while now. I hope to get back to it in a couple of weeks and I'll certainly post some photos of the progress when I do. I'm determined to finish this car when I have time, regardless of how much a potential Masami stealth car replica build might be calling my name. :D

I'm with you on that, I've just got a Worlds, I'm working on a new gold pan build and now the masami deal...sweet jesus what to do first.
