nah, i'm not going to run it. i just mean some period correct proline xtr's. 8115 fronts, 8081 rears...... something along those lines. i have a couple pairs of the 2.2 losi rear rims with the lexan cone for the AE 1/4" axles, so i thought about using a pair of them on it.
i do have some proline "red" 7025 fronts and 7060 rears i could maybe use.

do you mind sharing the peroxide process? I have read several posts refering to it but never any specifics. Also you mentioned boiling the plastic? Btw great looking restoration.

here is a big thread about the peroxide treatment:
http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=14978
the parts were boiled to make sure the peroxide was cooked out of them. if you don't, over time, the peroxide can discolor the anodizing on the chassis.

i think they're a step pin. but i was just throwing out examples in my earlier post, not necessarily looking for those exact tires.

I have a nip set of pro 81's that look just like flat stubies but are a harder compound and have no sidewall writing.

Mine are 7081! Here is the pc of them next to the flat stubbies and my favorite two types of front tires.

i like the 8115 fronts as well. i have one NIB pair left, but i have plans of using them on another build.
