Thanks for the article! Brought back memories of large bulky chargers with clicking rotary timers. I probably have an old Tamiya hard cased hump battery somewhere in storage. I am still running NiMH on my bashers since getting back into RC cars a few years ago. I think I am ready to take the plunge and go with LIPOs.

Just a share...
In a recent lot of items I picked up, was this 7-cell pack of Sanyo 1200sc cells.
Just thought it was interesting...in decent shape for it's age. I did not check it to see if it takes a charge.

I like this Sanyo 1300sc stick too...charge for 14 to 16 hours.

The question is, what can I buy now to use in my vintage cars, and will I need a new charger?

Does any one have a copy of this article? It looks like it is still online, but requires flash player which isn't made for my computer.

Is it sad that I miss making my batteries and using the old ticking rotary chargers? My current build uses a bunch of vintage electronics, but I obviously can't use the batteries.

*Ruffle*, a preeminent Flash emu I've run on WinPC and Andro, reports the document as MIA.
Issue no. 12 of *VRC* in vanilla PDF features the target article. For $1.99 you get the whole rag:
