Hey Dave.
No need for anything in return. It's great seeing these types of projects get off the ground. It has obviously taken patience and persistence to gather the parts, so I'm glad to assist. Although I do admire your solution to repair the broken halves!
Looking forward to this project unfolding...always wanted to build up an RC10 sprint car...
Cheers,
Steve

Hi Steve, Hi Guys,
I feel really lucky to have got this car,
I still have the receipt and can't believe how much I got her for, especially with how many
aftermarket parts were on her as well.
I was really, really happy when the new chassis turned up on E-bay,
The chassis that came with her was home made and badly done, she must have been crashed at
some time, it definitely looked like she had been raced a few times, so the new chassis was a new
starting point, so I was going to make her a bit better this time round.
Cheers, Dave.

Hi Guys,
I thought I would post a pic of the design for the wing for my car, I tried to make it as close as
possible to the car in this magazine review.

As you can see it is a very simple design, that's o.k by me should be easy to make.
Cheers, Dave.

Hi Guys,
The TPS trans parts that Stephenianjames kindly gave to me have arrived.
Thank you very, very much Steve.
Now I have a problem the trans cases are NIP and I'm having trouble convincing myself to open the
packets to continue the build, has anyone else had this dilemma?
Here is a pic they are only NIP once!
Cheers, Dave.

What a top bloke that Steve James is
Mate, you'll probably laugh at this but my remaining 2 case halves are out of the packet! I wasn't fussed so sent you the NIP ones...open them...OPEN THEM NOW!

Re-seal the wired-together parts in the pack and only a trained eye could tell the difference....

Hi Steve, Hi Guys,
I had a cup of tea, and a lie down, after I got up I still could not open the packets.
I took my dogs for a walk, made my dinner then after dinner I sat down looking at the packets.
My hands shook but I knew it had to be done, anyway I could always blame Steve, he said to do it
After the deed was finally done, I did tap threads into the screw holes, the plastic is very thin around
the holes, so just forcing the screws in would just cause it to split again in the future.
In the second pic, the top shaft had a lot of end play, an associated 4-40 aluminum
washer fitted perfectly behind the top shaft bearing on the motor plate side, I just had to take the
hole in the washer out to 4mm.
That fixed the end play and also stopped the spur gear hub from rubbing on one of the gearbox to
motor plate bolts.
Cheers, Dave.

Hi Guys,
Thank you for the vote of approval, it means a lot to me.
I have made the wing and sticker-ed it, I will try to get a pic later today on the car.
Cheers, Dave.
