Do some google searching for the best or newest version of android for you model phone. Chrome is probably not needed, but may make things easier to view.

I may be out of luck as I don't have a google account to download a different version. I'll have to look to see if I can download it somewhere other than the play store.
I did google the problem and it seems like it's quite random and common across most android devices, browsers etc it seems.

It doesn't cost anything to get a Google account
I believe if you do a google search for android Google chrome it will find a direct download
