This car (DOGFIGHTER) originally came out with a front one way because it did not have any front diff. I had them before the RPS version came out.

This was my YOKE on HOTLAPS wheels and DELTA SHOCKS all around.

We couldn't afford to buy the graphite chassis so we had to do this. The cahssis was RIT dyed orange...

Foregound is a Schumacher Cat. That car was so agile I could barely keep up. I had to drift the car. My car is the red one.

The YZ834 RPS was one of my favorite vintage racing buggies. The shop owner I worked for as a kid had one and when I got into R/C collecting I knew I wanted one. Most of the ones you see on ebay are hammered. I bought a few wrecks and found a stash of parts at a shop and came up with the one you see below.

If you EVER want to part with those wheels, I know a particular SRP-1 dirt oval restoration that would gladly love to have those shoes.

So the YZ10 and the Dogfighter are NOT the same car then? I never could figure out what was going on there.
...
Here's what I believe the correct version of the name story.
The dogfighter is the model with the chain and was also distributed by Graupner in Europe.
The YZ-10 is the same as the super dogfighter (the belt drive is definitely super compared to the chain)

Now according to the package of the Hot Lap tires (productline by Yokomo) there is also a "wonder dog fighter" and "RPS/Yokom S.E."
If anybody knows these or wants to correct the above, please do.

PS: rats, I should have read page 2 before posting: "RPS/Yokom S.E." is shown above.

As far as I know this how is goes:

- Dog Fighter - Chain
- RPS SE Dogfighter - Hopped Up Version through Team Losi - Chain
- Wonder Dogfigther - Japanese Hopped up verison (not sure which came first, this or the above) - Chain
- YZ-870c Super Dogfigther - Belt
- YZ-10 Super Dogfigther - Belt

I am not an expert, so don't take my word for it.

Hi all,

Here is my highly modified Yokomo RPS SE Dog Fighter which is also in the Vintage Non-RC10 section of this site,

http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=643

since the pics (below and in thread) were taken I have bought silver alloys from Scr8p and front Delta black and gold alloy shocks from AYKBOBCAT, the shell is also undergoing a re-furb.

Jay I believe the Wonder Dog Fighter preceded the RPS SE as there was very little modification to the car over the standard version.

Cheers
