The fascination with the MIP kit has more to do with rarity and the fact that most of us never saw one in person back in the day yet alone could afford it. The reality is that it wasn't really all that nice of a kit. I think a 4wd RC10 would be neat but that original kit at $500 wouldn't even make it anything more than a cruel joke. Some members here have made some far nicer one off cars. I personally wouldn't want that kit remade.

From the looks of it the guy on Facebook had aback and forth convo with Matt Who gave him the possibility of a limited release saying anyone interested to email him. But only time will tell, we will see.

That would be unfortunate, if Matt had a convo with the guy on FB and it was basically a convo to get the guy to leave him alone. I get it, but still.

I did/have seen the Legend kit up close and raced.. Back at the at the 1993 Roar Nats in SoCal... I want to say it was Ruffy Rios driving.. I don't actually recall. But, his rc10 Legend was a rocket on that track, even when matched up against the Yok's and Cat's, the rc10 Legend handled great!

It wasn't the best design. It wasn't meant to be. If I recall, it was designed to be a front-wheel assist setup. With the front-pulley small and light as to not take much weight from the rear-end, and would regularly loos the belt on bumpy tracks.. I'm not sure how good it would be on todays tracks, or if MIP would actually re-engineer it for todays tracks and leave the original version to maintain it value.

I do like the current 4wd projects from this forum, and how they will be race ready for current tracks!

I'm doubtful that this will come to fruition but hopeful it does. I'm not worried about it killing the value of the originals because the legend is the only 4wd kit I don't have. I would love to do up a rere worlds with a rere legend kit.

I remember people saying the RC10 rerelease will never happen, the thread and posts still remain on here.....I remain optimistic :)

Hey! Quebexican is reserved for the people in Quebec that want to separate from Canada and become their own country.

As for a release, have not seen airborne pigs yet!
