Cheers guys!

@Stulec52 - I got it from ebay uk, 2 colour fade was popular late 80's early 90's so you never know!

@Naushad - yeah I agree, I've also got a full set of golds too in case I get the urge for an upgrade :D

Looks almost new!

At the moment I have:

Optima Mid
Optima Mid JG truck
Turbo Optima Mid
Turbo Optima Mid NIB
Turbo Optima Mid SE
Optima Mid Custom
Optima Mid Custom runner
Optima Mid Custom NIB
Turbo Optima Mid Special
Turbo Optima Mid Special NIB
Ferrari F40 (Optima Mid Custom base kit) NIB
Nissan Skyline GTR (Optima Mid Custom base kit)

I had 2 NIB Turbo Mids and TOMS but sold 1 of each so have 1 of each remaining. I sold 2 runner Mids and 2 runner Turbo Mids. Also sold my Optima Mid Custom Special as never liked the bodyshell design.

My first ever proper kit RC car was a Turbo Optima Mid so I guess I have an emotional tie to the series :)

Enjoy the buggy!

Dan

Have you kept the gear diffs?

Try and upgrade to ball diffs...much nicer!

@wydraz - that's some collection there mate!

@naushad - diffs are standard, I assume the custom special had ball diffs?

Not had a chance to continue the build due to buying a new 1:1 car and doing work on the old one, they're more hassle than 1:10 most of the time

Just ordered some paint so will be finishing the mid custom next week :D

So after a few months out I got around to doing the paint and decals on the Mid.

I'm awful at painting, so it didn't turn out how I wanted it to, I did a coat of fastrax clear pearl

Then tamiya ps1 white

Added some rep decals that were supplied with the kit.

Congrats on the fine end result.

Body is not that bad - with the decals applied, it looks like it´s supposed to
