Don't have to crawl, trail runs are just as popular.
There are a ton of guys in my city that go for a trail run every night, few hours of walking and have some fun at the same time. SCX10 type trucks are super popular.
There are also a ton of dedicated rock crawlers, competition type crawlers that would never see the hard packed ground, purpose built for rocks only. Average cost of $1400 per.
I bought one for the scale look, to support the guys (REC) that are willing to take the time and effort to construct something like this for us. Plus it is cool looking.
When you get judged points in a comp, be it a pro comp and for serious rigs or a local RC group getting 20 guys together for some fun, the scale Hi-Lift jack counts.
