Welp, there ya go, all of us have a different opinion, which likely didn't help answer your question, haha!

The only constant seems to be, that if you're in it for the money and not an RC10 fan, then sell it.

Well, my take is if you want the money then sell, if you want the experience then open it up and build it, use it, shelf it, show it etc.. after all it's just a toy car, nothing more.

A toy? I don't consider RC's toys, unless it is one of those cheap all plastic jobbers from Wal-Mart or Target.

Ha,ha,ha,ha... I know, I know, touchy subject, but they are really, they are mechanical things that give us pleasure. If you want a whole room of shelfers, then knock yourself out, or buy new and build, sell, restore, modify. The possibilities are endless that's what makes it all so much fun, everyone's take is different. No right or wrong way, just have fun and be happy with what you do.

You don't win World Championships with a toy!

essentially these are just toys. Not too many people I personally know that race, collect, or just all around enjoy these make the much needed money that makes the world go round using these so entertainment value is given to them. What do you give an infant when they aren't happy??? a toy  . But I digress in the fact that this is my opinion as all the others shared their opinions on what these actually are so the original question is sell, build or keep?

Sell it on ebay. Jeff made a good point that the people that want these are dying every day and our kids won't want them. Sell now before the market dries up. If you were into the rc10 this question wouldn't even come up 8)

If you're a collector, keep it sealed and store it away somewhere. If you prefer displaying built models on a shelf, sell it and use the money to buy two good used models of your choice, clean 'em up, then add them to the shelf collection.

If you prefer runners, sell it and use the money to buy three different runners of your choice.

My significant other would beg to differ with you on the "toy" moniker! She says I have way too many "toys".

They just say that because they do not know any better.

A little late, but I'm chiming in.

Leave it wrapped and boxed, place it out of sight and sleep easy knowing you have an RC nugget. You will think about it less over time (but probably every day for some amount of time) and when you remember you have it you will be stoked. So by keeping it wrapped and boxed you will be stoked every day.

If this doesn't sound like fun or you try it and are not stoked, get rid of it.

I'll add to this and say "also does nobody any good sitting built on the shelf" either...

But that's just me. I'd build it, race it, modify it whatever. Same goes with real cars...never understood why people stored their cars. Sure, makes for a neat unveiling decades later but I never understood it.

But hey that's just my .02!

At least if it's built on the shelf you can hold it, show it to friends, admire it, etc. Can't do that when it's in the box.

I can certainly agree with that.
