So, there's a few bits left for my XX, including a gear cover (RPM would be nice to match), Lunsford turnbuckles, and getting the body painted.
Overall, I'm very happy with the current progress.

Looks great!
Why did you leave the Hydradrive off?

Thanks!!
Well, I don't have any clear covers to show case lol. If I get my hands on one I'll put it on. I only have one unit though. And RPM would be nice cause they'll match.

The XXT I bought shipped today. I'll try to set you up with the RPM cover.

No, I put them on after he paints. I just give him ideas to work with.

Well, I picked up some MIP CVD's for the build. I also ordered my titanium turnbuckles from Lunsford. I hope the shiny CVD's don't overdo the polished theme.

This is such a nice build... I had my eye on that body for a while... but glad you've got it
Major score on those original XX decals - they seem to be very rare these days, perhaps worth doing a scan of them before you cut them out?
Majorly jealous of your polished motor plate - the later version with the radially machined slots seem quite easy to find - but yours has the original diagonal straight slot version - which are again, seem to be XX hens teeth!

I had not noticed the difference in the machining on the polished motor plate. Such attention to detail...always learning something new here.
shoman24v is lucky I still have some original XX decals or I would not have parted with that original sheet

Yes, that early style polished motor plate is definitely a nice touch.

Thanks for the nice comments guys.
I'd really like to scan a complete graphic if it's available. They make repro's but... quality isn't #1. Not sure who would reprint them.
Both cars have the motor plate with the straight milling...

Lusford turnbuckles are in. I swear, I should not have bought the stock lengths. What a bitch to get these in. Practically maxxed out the ballcups up front.
