Does Graupner make the Radicator still or is it discontinued? would love to get my hands on one.

Looooooong gone. They had one more generation which was totally unrelated and utter crap. But even that is long gone

Now my kids each have a Radicator 2.

They do show up on ebay and "ebay kleinanzeigen" (that is basically the German Craigslist) in Germany every once in a while.

Traxxas Radicator and Rad 2 parts as well as some current Bandit and Nitro Rustler parts still fit those cars.

Basically yes.

I have 2 TRX -3 repro bodies for those, yet to be painted, some rubber from China and LRP wheels that I got for a steal.

The front bulkhead is a current Rustler / Bandit part, with the middle section removed to narrow down to TRX-3 width.

I got the cars cheap, but then the resurrection started to cost more than expected but still okay

Here are my kids 2 Radicator 2s.

I also have 2 Radicator (1) Experts both currently not in presentable condition.

For whatever reason MK Racing in Austria (?) was selling all sorts of LRP stuff at 10 cent prices. I am kicking myself for not buying much more of these 7 spoke black chrome rims. I think I got 5 sets.

I am still not sure if I want to convert the front wheels to bearings, or change the steering setup to splindle.

The front Bandit wheels are converted to accept 10mm flanged bearings, But I did not get it perfect, they have a slight wobble.

The rear tires are from a Chinese dealer on ebay, it was the only one who offers the whole set unglued. The rims that came with those are definitely plastic, not nylon.

Big pinion small spur... they must be really fast!

You need to cover up those gears though; for your kids fingers sake and for the sake of the spurs. They are harder and harder to get (the spurs of course, kids are not as hard to get obviously )

These cars are running with 55T Brushed motors. The smaller pinion was too small.

So they are not that fast.

I chose those motors specifically to get the kids on a learning curve.

Next step are the 45T Motors.

The standard cover does not fit over those giant pinions.
