Don't worry Alex...I'll have one for you and all the other Aussies that didn't get the invites because the mail is so slow
By the way...Halgar, when is my jet gonna touch down to pick me up for the trip to your party?

I agree with many of the sentiments above, that R/C cars are simply what I enjoy.
I most definitely come across things I forgot I had when I start digging around,
and I seriously doubt I will ever finish all the projects I have in mind (and have purchased parts for...),
but I cannot imagine ever NOT being into R/C cars.
I really do need to thin my collection at some point though:
I have my spare bedroom pretty full of R/C stuff (which is okay), the problem is that I have two
entire bedrooms at my parents' house across town, full, and I mean literally full to the ceiling,
with only a narrow trail to enter the rooms...

out of sight and out of mind but there if you ever need it...I don't see the problem...

I'm certainly not as overwhelmed with the amount of stuff a lot of you guys are, but over the past few days in cleaning out the basement and moving stuff around to insulate and wall in my barn I found myself asking the question "Where is all this R/C s*** coming from?!"

I must say, it sure can get out of control when you collect and build at the sametime. Organization is key for knowing what you have and where it is. Then you add current builds for racing and bashing and it all just grows and grows and before ya know it, your wife is looking at you like you are the one with issues

And don't forget, the bargains..... all those juicy, juicy "buyer's market" bargains...

I tried that.... sorted everything out by code, wrote up a big list.... then lost the list!

I know that feeling....

That's funny!
Yeah, my wife has a clear over-abundance of scrapbooking and jewelry making paraphernalia, yet she thinks my R/C collection is what clutters the house...

Any chance you have a "Slot Machine" motor in that pile of 200 motors?

I'm overwhelmed with life in general, and I don't see it ending for a long time if ever. I have so many burdens now that I just don't have the time for R/C any longer like I used to. Also the fact that I never have any money just complicates things further.
I have so many hobby projects in which I still have great interest in completing but don't know when I'll ever be able to. The majority of it sits on five 6'x3' shelving units. Plus I also have two vintage 1:1 cars that I haven't touched in a number of years. At this point I wouldn't mind selling a bunch of it but as a lot of you know, that's easier said than done. I find the process of selling things to be a major pain. I wish I could wave a magic wand and the stuff would disappear and a stack of money would be left in it's place.

I'm at the point where it's becoming too expensive and too difficult to build/complete projects. Everything seems like it has gone up in price considerably over the last few years, couple that with "wont ship overseas" or the insane shipping, our weak dollar, it's just not viable anymore. Gone are the days of buying the single $5 -$10 part you need.
