I finally found a set of new Wild Red wheels. I love the look of the orange wheels with the box art body, but the red wheels are even sweeter. Unfortunately, the red color does not show well in my photos, and actually looks kind of orange in some pics. I wish I knew how to use my camera!
I removed the vintage Novak electronics, and am searching for a nice period Tekin ESC. The orange of the Novak clashed with the new wheel color. I also removed the orange spur gear, and have a matching red one coming. I put in a new period correct Futaba receiver and servo. Will be getting a vintage servo saver horn soon. I also added brand new trailing arms, aluminum coated balls, and new lower rear shock bottoms. The others were starting to crack. It is getting close to being truly mint. Still looking out for a few choice parts before I call it complete.
I decided to finally cut and stick my original stickers on my body. I realized the large JRXT stickers on each door side are not as large as the box art. It seems as though only the reproduction JRXT decals are the correct size? Am I missing something?
Still unsure how to paint it, and looking for some vintage Losi decals to put on the dirt guards.

I set my JRXT body on my RC10T5M, and I think it looks great. This photo does not show it well. I like it so much I am thinking of getting a TBG JRXT body just to run on the 5M.

That truck looks great. Nothing beats the look of the JrxT body. I had those same rear tires on my JrxT shelf build until recently when I found a set of original kit, hardly used, rear tires. They were glued to LXT wheels, however, but they cleaned up well enough. Great job!

Thanks. I have been on the lookout for some original rear tires as well. I don't know much about the tires that are on it now. Are they a later design?

Honestly, I never saw these tires until I got them from a friend a year or so ago so I really know nothing about them either. I assume they are period correct-ish since they have the same "spike" design/profile.

Latest updates to the JRX-T. I added A&L towers, new hardware, rear tires, and additional RPM pieces.

Awesome JRXT! Stunning!
That was my first RC truck and i ran it everywhere.
I loved it but the fact that i was dealing with the nicad's short run time killed the fun.
That was reason for giving it up and moving on to the traxxas nitro hawk.

I just added vintage MIP Losi shock bodies and topped them off with early thin style collars and gold shafts. It has taken me a long time to find these shock bodies. Although I love the look of the silver shocks on the JRX-T, I feel these black MIP units fit this build well.
The last piece I would like to find for this truck is a Litespeed motor plate.
