The thicker rear arm mounts are correct for the truck

Crazy right? Amazing what people will do to things.

Im slow  I just realized that you're the guy that bought that lot of 3 rc10's from me on ebay....
I was wondering why the topic on the PM pertained to " that guy's 3 rc10T's"

Small world in the Rc10 world !!

Haha yep. That's me. I'm discovering the crowd for RC10s is rather small. That works for me.

They're both torn down and in bags. I found a box and book that should be here in a few days so I'll start the build when I get the book. Can't remember which one it was for though lol

I finally got the book in for the 7011 so I can start building it correctly. I know I can download one, and I did, but I like having the paper book to flip through while I build.

Everything is set up but this spider caught a June Bug and it's distracting me lol

Front end done

And on the plate

I'm not sure what steering I'm going to use so I moved on to the back end.

Image

I already rebuilt the trans so that's out of the way.

Image

Guess which two screws were stripped and had to be replaced. Luckily lots of new spares come in parts lots.

She's got him now, he's done for.

Looking good. Having the extra parts are always nice.

Indeed, and they just keep increasing lol

I got the rear arms and tower on.

The A&L parts hit scrape pretty bad so I mounted it on the forward holes. I went back and forth trying to decide how best to mount it but this seemed to be the best choice for now.

Image

And having never built a truck before, I learned why you can't use the forward holes. Not sure how to proceed here. Either figure out the steering scraping and move the plate back to its original position or tap new holes in the tubes.

Bumper and body mounts.

Image

Front shocks installed.

Image

It didn't come with rear shocks but based on the measurements given earlier, I dug through my box o spares and found some that are the correct size. The gold is gone but they're the right size.

Battery tray in

I just have to find what I did with those adapters for the HPI Wheels and find a black transmission brace and I think she's done (I'l figure out the tubes later). I have a white one but just can't bring myself to do it.

Hi,

Mount the steering bell cranks in the same holes.

Mount the nose plate using the rear holes as per the manual.

Do you have a manual?

https://www.teamassociated.com/cars_and_trucks/RC10T/Team/manuals_setups/

Mount steering like mine,

Cheers, Dave. :)

I did that but the screw heads for the drag link scrape on the nose plate. It's the screws that came with the kit and I can see the previous owner had the same issue. I guess I need to find some flatter head screws or add a couple of washers.

EDIT: Now I see what you did. Good thinking, I'll give that a try. Thanks!
