I've seen their other stuff before, and I question the legality of selling products using various company names and trademarks that are still active for a profit.
I don't know about the legality of it.

If he was copying items that they were selling, I'd probably feel differently. But they are just banners, towels, and mats.

I don't see any different than buying decals from MCI or some other place.

It all comes down to what the business in question wants to pursue. For example, try selling shirts you make with Nike on them, and see what happens. Some years back, Tamiya actually went after people who were selling reproduction decal sheets. They even went so far as to go after people who were offering scanned copies of their old manuals for download claiming copyright violations.

Speaking of selling copied designs... There's a seller on eBay reproducing Sassy Chassis products without the consent of the guy who owned the business. They were made aware of the fact, but looks like nothing came of it as the stuff is still being sold.

Trademarks and copyrights expire. Also most of those logos used or even parts like chassis, towers etc... are from companies no longer in existence like hot trick, and novak. They have become discontinued parts/brands. Usually it would cost someone way to much money to try and go after anyone doing it, unless you are a big company etc...
Imagine the other big sellers of vintage parts on ebay like vintage rc or factory works. they all sell parts that have been discontinued, and thankfully so since the companies discontinue making parts.
Better yet what about the guy who reproduced the copy of tiny rc10 nrc24 or anyone who drew a picture of an rc10 and tried to sell it as art.
What I am getting at is when the parts or logos in question are mostly discontinued or forgotten about parts, i'm all for it.
