A new episode of "small things"...
I've taken this plain looking antenna mount and added a bit of titanium mojo to it.

Awhile back I came across the Associated 27128 aluminum servo washers... hmmm, kinda cool, 8 bucks or so. Following a Google look/see I found more of that type of part. Different colors and a few manufacturers to boot. All looked very similar. So, who's copying who?
I wanted some for my B1M build so I go at it with a piece of 1/4" titanium rod and make my own. As not to copy anybody...

OK...
I made two plugs for the holes in the top of a motor plate today from aluminum. Still have to make the washers to screw everything together (4-40 fhcs).

Yes, you can get picky with your washers...

Very nice! And the grooves will add surface area to enhance heat dissipation.

It's what I do
OK, got them done, just need to do a bit of touch up.
I'm using some AE red shock o-rings on the turned thumbscrews. I turned down some 1/8" standoffs to .166" so the lipo battery would slid between them on the chassis plate. There were already holes in the plate, I didn't want to drill more so adapt, overcome!

I'd probably knurl or somehow texture those thumbscrews...if they got on too tight, you wouldn't be able to get a grip and would probably have to use a pliers or something to loosen them.
For a shelfer, it wouldn't matter, of course.
