The arms are actually an RPM wide arm kit for the JRXT -RPM #7377. I got them in a lot of Losi RPM parts I bought from RCveteran just for the front arms.

Oh yeah, those hub carriers do look the same.

orangemazda wrote: Thu Nov 23, 2017 2:04 pm It took a lot of fiddling. The most difficult part was that the fact that the Ultima case takes 8x14x4 bearings and the re-release Optima takes 10x15x4 bearings. My first thought was to have the diff halves milled down. Then I was looking around on the AVID website and found 10x15x4 flanged bearings. So I drilled out the case and loaded the new bearings from the inside. I also had to make some upper shaft shims. I was able to find some perfect aluminum shaft at the hardware store that has a 5mm ID. I had to shorten a couple of the Optima shims as well. Open up the upper bearing holes so that the spacer/shims ride on the actual bearings, etc. Quite a bit of fiddling and fitting but I’m happy with how it came out.

Any rumours about an ctual re-release yet?
I don’t suppose you have a complete parts list? I’m looking now for my own ultima.

Here’s some update pics on a project I’ve been working on lately. Still in the mock up phase but I think I’m happy with it and it’s coming together nicely.

I think you'd better move the servo so the link sits at 90° to the belcrank arm. But, please, tell us a littl about those new arms.

I definitely have room to move the servo over. I’ll probably flip the servo mounts to the other side of the servo.

The arms are the same Kline arms the fellas are using on the WOIN RC10 builds. I had to do some mild modifications to them to make them work but I think it turned out good. The fronts are a touch narrow for the application since the Ultima front bulkhead is more narrow then the RC10T bulkhead. I used the worlds front axles to gain enough width to match the rear width perfectly.

I got my proper turnbuckles and ball joints on. Things are looking good. Still debating on what shocks I want to use.

Shocks, AND body?
Can you fit big bores in the front with those arms? With the stock arms the lower point is too close to the shocktower. Moving the shocktower back may be an option but the steering components may not agree

Well sir, the car is coming together nicely. I really like the whole black/white thing you have going on. I raced one of these bitd and have since forgotten how similar the back half of the car is to an optima. I do remember very well, however, just how well the car handled right out of the box. Very little tuning needed to dial it into the various tracks. Great car.

Rb6 big bores might be an option. The RTR rb6 shocks are black but also plastic...

Maybe new Optima red shocks although I haven’t checked lengths.

I always have tons of new Associated shocks...(I know, sacrilege! :) ) but I do have some nice anodized black ones.

We’ll see.

This project is terrible. In order to save you from wasting more time send it to me with all your parts.

I vote for a 3 colour theme. White or black shocks wont do

I ended up buying rere Optima shocks which I think suit the build nicely.
