I think it's a fair guess the electronics design builds on slotcar technolgy. Do you have some pics of their slotcars?

Well the resistors, wipers, heatsink etc. are similar for the MSC of old American style R/C cars and slotcars indeed. But for telling the truth I have no information for the AB Slotcars company other than their R/C cars but even that is hard to find.

Rear axle is machined from aluminium and measures a quite unusual 7mm diamater. A clamping hub is used for mounting the left rear wheel, the same type of hub is used also at the right side for the first diff washer.

Pins at the left hub connect to holes at the rear wheel. No pins used at the diff.

Mirage designed their own type of ball diff. None of the parts looks similar to American type diffs. Dish type spur gear, small diff balls, closed thrust bearing, no spring washer but very hard diff spring, metric M7 nut.

Tie rod and Mirage tires will be added.
Front and rear bumper won´t be added because I have not such parts. It seems to me also those parts were not used at races for lowering weight of the car.
Final pictures at Classic RC later.

Yes the Mirage-T is quite rare car but was popular in the North of Europe in the early 1980´s. Finished in 4th place at the 1981 Euros. I really like the look of that car.

This is the 2nd generation car, their first car was the Mirage 12 https://classicrc.wordpress.com/1-12/slotcar/slotcar-mirage-12/
