Do you have any recommendations for wheels as the rear spindles are tapered, the guys at hobbytown dont know what to use.... the hex adapters might work but 8ll have to bore them out and the the offset I find in newer wheels is real deep which would run the shocks...

Can you pull the old tires off the wheels? I think they might be 2.2" wheels already.

If not, your easiest source of 2.2" 1/4" axles is from jc racing in the UK. They are a direct fit, a little narrow on the front for modern wide tires but carpet tires fit just right.

Beyond that, you get into axle conversions and other changes.

Yeah they are 2.2 tires, I just dont like the rims, they are like polystyrene or something.. I'll look into jc racing

If you use narrow carpet tires, and trim off the inner bead of b4 front wheels and they will drop right on (bearing wheels)
