I've got the front and rear shocks mounted,
next up will be the drive shafts ...trying to determine the easiest/best way to do this as there are ton of options it looks like.

For the rear CVA's I am going to go this route (thank Radioactivity)
“The CVA have an issue also the shafts are too short, AE screwed up!” Agreed!
I haven’t been able to find any of the Associated 9911 or the Associated B2 universal joints for a reasonable price. They may be more available in EU?
Another possibility might be using Yokomo 60.5mm Rear Universal Bone YOKZ2-010RB and Yokomo C-Clip Universal Joint Pin Set YOKBM-010TPC.
That setup uses B4 rear hubs. Search Yokomo CVA in forums.

This seems like a good solution and all the parts are easily available. Most of the other options I've read about all have 1 part that is impossible to find.
the link in that quote doesn't seem to be displaying correctly, -yet its from Radioactive's post a few posts up...

Eric
Search - My OIN Worlds whatever you want to call it racer. page4
Odd, when I go to my original post it shows
https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=34582&p=385999&hilit=Yokomo+CVA#p385999
and it works for me

Thank you Chuck,
Yes, that is what I am following, and I love that all the parts are readily available!

Okay, a few questions:
1) I am following the setup for the rear conversion to 2.2 12mm hex found here:
https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=34582&p=385999&hilit=Yokomo+CVA#p385999
Which hub carriers should I use for this setup, I am believe the stock RC10 and/or the Re-Re World's rear hubs will not work. I read that the "B4 hub carriers" are the ones to use, yet there are a few variants.
I've found the following:
https://www.amainhobbies.com/team-associated-rear-hub-carrier-set-2-b4-t4-asc9584/p21094?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIsbqCv7Pl5gIVBRitBh0FmgoIEAQYASABEgI4SfD_BwE
and
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Associated-9730-Rear-Hub-Carrier-B4-B44/164007380396
and a few more by RPM, and such...
2) For the front wheels any recommendations to convert to a hex setup to accept modern wheels? -or is there some preferred setup here? (not finding much info online, yet I am sure it must exist).
thanks,

any of the b4 hubs will work, you will just need to get the right bearings and spacer and shims for whichever one you choose.
as for front hexes, I believe the recommendation nowadays is to use all of the c-hub/spindle parts from an SC10 and drill out the cross pin to 1/8" for the lower suspension arm.

Nice build so far.
If the AE hex B4 axles are hard to find JConcepts also did a conversion part.

Thanks for the encouragement on the build,
Yes, I went w/ the JC Concepts front axle pieces as that is all I could find, -I had to order from Australia as they are discontinued and found an eBay seller w/ like 5 sets. Paid $8 for them US, then $20 shipping (sucks, but what else could I do)?!!

Seems like Australia got most of the hard to find JConcepts RC10 parts, same with the SC10. I can never find in the states but Australia always seems to have them..........................

Yeah, I've noticed that too. I wonder if maybe the supply gets bought up here in the US quicker? In any case, I wish they'd get the shipping to/from US to Aus more reasonable.

okay, got the back 2.2" wheels mounted, took some back and forth to get them right but there is no binding and everything is smooth and fits well.
I also adjusted the rear camber a little and tightened up the rear diff ever so slightly as it was a tad too loose (I think). Installed a battery holder (and battery) ...
...just waiting for the front axles to arrive, yet may start on the electronics and body while I am waiting.
