I remember seeing that same car on eBay recently. I thought the Vette body was kinda neat. Glad to see your fixing it up. :D

Yep saw that, good score! It makes more upgrades possible due to the low initial cost. Looks like it came pretty complete. Glass 10L's just look so classy once cleaned up.

Been putting off painting my Lumina body in the Mello Yello scheme for years. Days of Thunder was one of my favorite movies growing up.

Love that movie too! Actually have a vintage Days of Thunder leather jacket signed on the back by Tom Cruise. Never wore it, I would get mugged if I did. Same one as this:

Servo mounted RX mounted battery no slip pads installed and body 80% fitted, waiting on my pink antenna mast and pink PURE-TECH battery straps I realized the neon yellow ones I ordered are just a tad to long

Lookin great! Did the brushless motor require any pod modifications to get it to fit? Looks like its a really snug fit.

No it slips right in but one of the solder pins is really really close to the upper plate due to my gear combo ‘maybe’ 23/81, I rounded out the inner corner to clear a max 12 gauge wire and fiberglass doesn’t conduct :D

Hey guys after watching hours of Thunderdrome oval racing I noticed almost all cars had the rear bumper/taillight panel area cut out, is this something I should do to gain some speed can someone explain the aero advantages.

Having the rear cutout creates a vacuum under the car that keeps the rear tires planted. If there is no cutout, the car will have a tendency to lift at high speeds and possibly flip. It happened to me a few times until I cut out the panel.
