Looking up the 6582 on AE's site, it lists the B2 and B3 in the applications.

Isn't that part used on literally every associated ball diff?

They are really similar so it has to be close. Maybe too much though? A stiffer spring will narrow the slip range somewhat. Couldn't hurt to try.

It may be to much thought. I am not looking for an exact match but something ball park enough to have similar performance. If the stealth slipper spring is close enough I'll pick it up and be done with that.

I was actually the diff spring would be softer than the slipper spring given it is supposed to supply it's force over the smaller area. I can verify that the schumacher spring 4673 is .07" wider than the stock spring .38 OD vs .31 od with a similar length to the stock. it would need some kind of adapter washer to use the standard hub and 5-40 nut.

For a stiffer spring, the nut is tightened less. For a softer spring, the nut is tightened more. How much force the spring applies is related to how stiff it is AND how much it's compressed.

Based on the description and how it looks in the picture, this could be an option.

HPI used what appeared to be a stealth slipper on the RS4 MT truck. You can still get the thrust washer set on ebay. HPI A223 is the part number.

The 6582 is what goes inside of the diff and that is still made. It's a bit smaller than the official slipper spring, but if it works and is still made it's good enough.
