Optinutz - Thanks for posting the picture. It gives me some inspiration. Unfortunately as the weather warms I am having to turn to non-RC related projects. It will be a while before I do anything directly with this project. I ran across the car which is much more complete than I thought it was and was wondering if I could get some use from it without having to deal with the nitro mess.

Thanks,
George

I'm putting the drivetrain together, now. As you can see in the pic, the ballbearing niche for the main shaft was shaved off. I have shimmed the final pinion and replaced the belt pulley with a dogbone joint cup. I am locating the hardware to mount the Losi motor/ center diff housing I am using to mount the motor and suspend the modified RB6 shaft and slipper. Power will be transferred to the rear gearbox via dogbone, of course. Pics to follow...

^ Crazy! I just bought a Rampage slider. I didn't even know what it was, I just liked how the shape was similar to the Composite Craft chassis's. I am planning on converting it to electric. Looks like you already have done this. Very cool.

I was able to make the Kyosho Outlaw Zr1 electric conversion easily. For once in my life the trial and error method struck gold because the FIRST trial was NOT an error! Take that Murphy and your stupid laws!!
So what i noticed was how similar
the stock spur gear from my Tamiya TT-02 Motul Autech GT-R was and it fit perfectly in place of the Kyosho spur! From there I decided to try my Yeah Racing TT-02 Spur gear adaptor set, part #TATT-026BU since it is a direct replacement for the TT-02 stock spur gear...it fit which allowed me to use a Robinson Racing 48p spur gear! From there I grabbed the most universal and easiest to adapt motor mount I had, a WLToys a979B motor mount, and lined up a BL motor.. installed.. slapped on a pinion (guessing at FDR because I was impatient) and VIOLA! An electric conversion of the Kyosho Outlaw Rampage ZR1 Nitro was BORN!

Awesome! But as I'm sure you've heard before: "If you don't post pics, it never happened!" :D
