As long as it's not releasing dust it's safe enough , for the shelf you could clear coat them to seal them up , if you want to run it though they have to be replaced to be safe .
Great build , really wish my photography was as good .

Thanks for the good advice Dadio. After a bit more thinking I figured it's ultimately safest to pack them away. The clear coating idea is a great one!

I have them on several of my buggies as well. Agreed, as long as they aren't being used, there is no dust being released. Also, my cars get stored in plastic bins.

Really nice to see. That has to be quite rare to get a NIB Inferno kit. But it seems that 1/8 buggys are not nearly as desirable or collectable as the 1/10 class. Yet the WC is considered the most prestigious of all rc car catagorys.
I just bought an Inferno to restore. It looks to have low use as per the condition of the outdrives, but it was stored poorly and will need a few hours of love ;) I have restored motocross bikes in the past so I have an idea what Im getting into. As for replica, Im sure the green Kanai has been done a few times, but Kunihiro Toge? The 1992 WC winner? Not exactly a name that gets tossed around much. Ill dig up some RC Car Actions and get some ideas. An OS rg 21 wil be going in....for now
Im not sure if your going to run your car but fyi, I had the metal main gear back in the day in my Turbo Burns (sure wish I kept it!) and it was a bit noisy. be very particular with the mesh for best results.

Very cool! Toge-san ran the same Sanwa servos and OS engine I have here. I looked at what he used at the WCs. He used Medial Pro tyres I think and had a yellow paint scheme, from what I can remember.
