I have taken the hard compound tires and boiled them to make them more pliable and they went right on.

I have a set on Losi 2.1” wheels, they definitely fit tight. Try warming them up a little.

If these tires where cheaper and more available, I would try that out. I ordered some nylon bar stock last night and am going to make a custom set of 3 piece fronts in 2.0" diamater.
BTW, I tried the rear outer dish on the fronts. The offset is actually pretty good, but I don't really care for the look as much as I originally thought i might. Some pictures for reference.

Tire tread patterns used to be so cool, with so many awesome options like this available.

I’ll disassemble one of the white fronts tonight to check out the sizes.

Thanks, Mark.
I asked AE what size wheels the TQ70 was designed for. This was the response:
"They were either for the 1.9 wheels, but possibly for the 2.0’s."
I also asked if they ever made a 2.0" 3 piece front wheel, but haven't heard anything yet.
I did come across this wheel chart in my search, but it doesn't seem to be complete or entirely accurate. Better than nothing I suppose.

Yeah I honestly don't remember 2.0 front wheels. I have looked through all my old associated parts lists and can't even find them listed, only the 1.9 and 2.1.

I agree with you on that. I haven't been able to find a 2.0" front wheel from associated, only proline. This whole situation perplexes me.
I don't have a whole lot of experience with associated wheels and tires (well, next to none to be exact), but the rears assembled so nicely. The fit is close to perfect, just a little snug as is expected. I wasn't surprised that the fronts didn't fit, as i know they have changed wheel sizes over the years. I am surprised that they apparently never offered a front wheel that works with this tire.
I wonder if anyone has ever had a good experience mounting these on 3 piece wheels.

Even in the RC10 CE manual, it says that some tires will be harder to get on than others. They recommend soapy water.
I've got some Kyosho tires and three piece wheels. They are nearly impossible to assemble without some type of lubricant.

Ok decided not to disassemble the white wheels.
I’ve got a set of slightly used ones so I took them apart and measured.

Here you can see they are the same size as the white one it’s sitting on.

And here is a TQ-70 that’s been on a set of proline wheels probably since they were both new

From the October 96’ pictorial catalog.
#6870H is the TQ-70, it’s a 2.125”
