That rear battery nest notch-out may have been made to clearance a/the battery terminal/wire. I suspect the previous racer ran a laterally arranged pack.
That seems reasonable. Since it´s only on one side of the bulkhead it would be an odd way to save weight. Thanks for your input!
Had some spare time and had a look at the dampers. They are in good condition.
They needed a clean and then I refilled them with original Losi shockoil 20 WT according to the manual.
As you can see it has golden front shocks which I believe is not the original ones.
From what I can find the golden shock bodies are the first hard anodized?

I opened the gearbox and found that the seals on some of the ball bearings are removed and that there is a ball bearing supported diff gear.
It also has a lighter color plastic on the side diff gears.
Why is that? Low friction material?

I found my carbon fiber school project car stand from the mid nineties!
Made to fit my XX. But seems to work on a JrxPro as well.
Came to good use when I reassembled the car.
I got her some new tires. Otherwise she is back together the way I got her. Still trying to save that carbon body...

That car stand is trick! I made a graphite composite panel at school bitd and proceded to hack it to hell and drill holes in my TRX-1 deck trying to get that sweet double decker look. One of those well intentioned, poorly conceived exercises in adolescent impatience and disappointment. Lesson learned.
Car is looking good. I have always liked the Pro and the SE.

Sounds familiar...
I had a box delivered from TBG. Including decals from MCI.
And then I took a deep breath and started cutting and masking and painting and applying decals.
The result:
Decided to keep the hard plastic wing since the car was raced that way. But it needs a good clean...
