dinglem wrote: Tue Dec 07, 2021 4:41 am If i am honest, I really REALLY dislike the rear part of the RC10 bodyshells - the bit that extends over the rear of the shock tower and over the motor. I have always thought this raised the shells up way too high and made the car look a bit top-heavy (I usually like top-heavy!! ) I have left this bit of the shell on my Concept Car mainly because the mag car had it, but on all of my other RC10 builds i cut it off and hunker the shell down. It is one of the reasons I totally prefer the Penn Jackal RC10 shell as it is much lower and more streamline and doesn't even have a rearward section.

With a wing atop the standard uncut body i think they look a bit much. Just my opinion of course. I also like to build wings with my own pointy side plate shape, the same as I always ran bitd, and therefore wings are a bit of a must for my builds really, so for me it is a trimmed and lowered shell, plus wing all day long.

Makes sense. I may look at trimming the "engine cover" off and running a wing. Going for a paint job like this, which may be to your taste?s-l400.jpg
