The car is an animal to drive on the HPI Vintage tires, the Traxxas 2.5 is way to much for it, geared 24/58 and I feel like it is on par or faster than my Slayer Pro.

I have a set of normal low profile touring car tires I'm going to try on it, maybe then I can control it and stay in the throttle long enough to see how fast it is..

Its been a while, but I finally got somewhat of a handle on this thing. Reducing the steering rate really helps tame the driving down along with tweaking the throttle linkage and getting used to it. The 2.5 has power to burn and is currently geared 24/58. The 24t clutch bell is the biggest I have been able to find so far, I just found a 56 tooth spur gear on Evil Bay so we will try that in the spring and see if we can get 50mph out of it.
