Here's the front shock tower I am using on my tq10....... Does anyone know who makes it? The 4 holes half way up on each side perfectly mimick an original ae 4-hole tower (height wise too). I know its not a jammin or jg, but thats all I got on it.

I recently picked up a worlds car off ebay...... and paid quite a penny for it considering its condition minus the body
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120244129848 Anyhoo, I'm glad to finally have one of these bad boys and am currently doing the rebuild. It's definitely had parts changed here and there, but I don't mind because I plan on giving it a full make-over. It'll be preped for the track and run

On to the pics:

A new piece of lexan I've never seen, looks like a chenowth. I had no idea Twister made bodies, or is it Premier designs that made this?

Premier Designs made the bodies... Twister bought Premier at a certain point, IIRC.

*World's car update*
I've recently finished the complete rebuild of this car and will say that the previously owner ran it pretty hard. It wan't run alot as the transmission gears barely had any wear and moving parts didn't have much slop, but the front nose plate is worn pretty thin in some spots, the front half of the chassis had quite a curve to it (its nice and straight now) and one of the universals was badly bent (replaced w/ CVDs).
Onto getting it track ready. I decided to use the original slipper setup since it was fairly new and barely showed any signs of wear. I also made a RPM shorty front bumper replica out of a 3/32" sheet of kydex purchased from ebay. A minor part that I really like is the foam gasket I bought from ebay as well, very clean and stronger than the felt gasket. The front and rear world's shock towers were both split/separating, but I saved them by gluing the edges and tossing a weight on top to keep them flat. Lastly, I don't hardwire my batteries and always had hard time getting them into the stock battery holder. After hacking it up a bit, I got everything done to fit current larger cells.

Here's a project that changed direction when I received the main ingredient, the chassis from ebay. I had planned on narrowing the front to fit the RPM world's suspension. When I received it, I got a chassis that was badly beaten, split and cracked in the front all the way to the front body mount hole. I decided to just throw some left over parts on it, a rebuilt 6-gear transmission, and hpi rims and proline tires so i could use the stock axles (3/16'' axles in the rear). Also, I used the great ball bearing steering idea founded by 10talk member jwscab. I'll be making some shock tower body mounts out of kydex. With the silver can 540, its still lots of fun and runs right there with box stock blackfoots/lunchboxes etc......
edit: body now mounted-

Here's a tekin rc10 conversion I bought about a year ago and have almost completed. At the time of purchase, I chose to go with the truck kit, but soon after starting the build, realized that I wanted to make a buggy. With the main differences between the conversion kits being the shock tower and a-arms, I ditched the active-link setup to use buggy rear arms. The shock tower was a different story though, since I didn't have a buggy tower I decided to just make one from a cf sheet that I purchased on ebay instead of hacking up the truck tower. Overall, it was a nice build which required some altering and cutting here and there, but was well worth it. Thanks to some 10talk members who sold me particular parts for this car! As soon as I get a proper servo and wire up the esc, I'm gonna hit the track!
edit- car now complete and ready to run!
