Just saying, looking at the voltage when it stops, you are not supposed to put 4000 mAh in it again, because it is far from fully discharged. With a cut off quite high, this is not surprising...
Do you have any car with another setup you can try it with?

I definitely have other cars I can try it with. These 2 batteries have definitely had a significant change in their performance though from the last time they were being used a few months ago. If experimenting with them is any sort of fire risk, I don't want to go that direction.

I definitely understand this... The odor of the Lipo burning early morning is never a good thing...

Just dig here on the forum and you'll find a heartbreaking story or two regarding lipo fires.
