Yes, team car is 1/4. Only the kinwald and 4wd have been 3/16 (well, the 2014 world's as well).

Or does anyone oboe what size bearings I would need to use the stock hub carriers?
3/16 x 3/8 flanged bearings would allow you to keep the original carriers. FR166 is the industry part number you can use to find some.
