His actual car didn't have the milled chassis. The milled tub was debuted at that race. A few guys had it, but not BK.

Aside from any weight savings, does the milling add any rigidity? Or am I over-thinking it?

Yup, that is correct. I more so meant along the lines of what the original worlds car kit and rere came with. AE could also simply give us a plain black tub team car with a turbo mirage body and kinwald sticker sheet and call it a "world's car", but I seriously hope they don't dare do that to us.

Just weight savings. Imo, it was simply one of the most awesome rc10 parts to have during the time the world's kit originally came out in '94 only to be an after thought the moment the B2 was announced one year later

Just weight saving. Removing material will increase flex, not stiffen it.

The milled chassis were also 7000 series aluminum alloy vs 6000 series, I know my 93 WC chassis.is wayyyy stiffer than my B stamps and A stamps

Ah, 7000 vs. 6000. Understood. Just thought maybe the little 90° angles from the milling might act as tiny "L" bracing.

The milling made it a pain to bolt the antenna mount down !

Given AE's recent track record with these re-re's, I'm betting this one will have a standard gold ano tub. They always get at least one thing wrong. :(
Of course, I hope I lose that bet.
Anyway, I'm good on Worlds cars so I will pass on this one and continue to hope for a '91 Stealth -- although it would likely use gold carbon.

I never knew this. Very cool. Makes me want an original Worlds even more. Thanks.

I think some, if not all of the C tubs, milled or not, were the 7000 aluminum. Having C tubs reanodized any color besides black was always a crap shoot as to whether the tubs would match the nose and motor plates.

I don't know why, but I remember seeing that 2024 aluminum was used at some point for the milled tubs also. Maybe there was a running change because I do remember AE advertising them with 7075 aluminum initially.

not how milling works unless it was thicker than the same chassis the rigidity would not change. You're taking material away not adding stuff.

Of course this is just going off pics, but the original 6037 was 2024 per the box

The rere was 6061 same as the regular rc10 chassis
