i just bought the plastic b3 servo saver kit. i found a post on here where someone used that and the screws from a rc10gt to mount it. it looks like that will work, i'm just not sure if the srcew w/ the spring on it is going to be too tall to put a regular buggy cover on. i guess i'll just have to drill new holes to mount the servo the other way.

Here's another option for you: MIP ball bearing steering with a carbon fiber triangle to make the link between the servo and the bellcranks 180*. Your solution works equally well though and it was less work it seems

Does the ball link fit on the front of the horn also adam?
That 'd probably work a little better.
( I know itis on the wrong side with my stand-up servo too: I had no other option)

This is almost the exact car i wanted to build if i won it . I always wanted the Houge Enterprise chassie with slots to build a mid engine rc10, they are so much cooler then the tekin kit in my opinion. Good job, can't wait to see it when it is finished, let us know how it runs!

i'll keep you updated. right now i'm still working on getting the steering set up so i can mount the battery like this

Yeah, it fits that way as well, I just tossed it together for the pictures

did anybody ever make ball bearing bellcranks for a b3? thoes should work since they dont have the spring and nut. how about losi xx bell cranks ? i know iv'e seen thoes on ebay some where i am just not sure if the reach is the same as ae ones. how were these chassis set up originaly? did they have special bellcranks?

The ones pictured in my car are aluminium option parts, and use bearings on 5mm posts. they are treaded with 3mm for the ballstuds.
(I think they are for a TA05)

Disadvantage: the servo saver is now servo based which adds to its heighth.

Yea standard B3 bellcranks are ball bearing, you just need to replace the plastic bushes with ball bearings. They do have a spring and nut though to hold the 2 halves of the servo saver together though.

edit: actually it's only the idler bellcrank that is ballbearing, servo saver tube centre hole is too small..

That is my car with the b3 servo saver kit and RC10T screws and some thin nuts under the servo saver and it works perfectly normal. Depending on the body it might still fit fine. I say try it .

some updated pics. i took a break for a while. i used the b2 steering servo saver with screws from a RC10 GT to mount it and a low profile servo saver. I went w/ a viper body that i had to do some modifications to in order to make it fit. It'll probably look better w/ the spoiler and some paint.

It is looking good. Check this 4wd out, I think your is going to look similar to it and I like it. Keep up the good work and let us know how it handles.

that's the servo i got. if you do a search on towerhobbies for low profile servo, it comes up w/ a bunch of them.

didn't handle too well, now am gonna do the RPM conversion.

looks great, but i would ditch the jg bumper, i have never been a fan of a big bumper on a racer
