I literally was driving past this hobby shop on the way home from a venture to visit other hobby shops and quickly reversed it. Walked in with no RC in sight, was on my way out when the owner pointed out a couple shelves and plastic bins in the back of rare parts.
I feel pretty fortunate to have found just the JRXT. The motor was a very nice surprise too since I have never seen a gold can Race Prep. Thanks to Scr8p helped me identify that it was a modified. It seems in very good condition too, although the magnets don't seem very strong.

My thoughts Exactly!

Jay,

I think you need a bigger Workbench my friend!

Sadly, im using a tiny little PC computer stand for my bench. Once the Garage gets cleaned out, I'll make a permanant bench out there.

On my bench-
-Converting my Alum. tub Team car to a Graphite racer
-re-assemble a RPM roller w/ new screw kit. Clean up the faded white nylon a bit.
-TC3FT Drift car
-HPI RS4 Rally.

Next up-
-10T Resto.
-10 Resto

That was supposed to be my wife's Scrapbooking desk and was up until we moved South. When we bought our 2nd house in Michigan, it came with the house. SOLID OAK, weighs a ton, the kind where you really mean "They don't make them like that anymore." Definitely a keeper. I don't have as much space in my apartment as I did the house, so I took over her desk. She has since gotten over it.

Damn economy and housing market! I wish I could have a workshop.

Im working on two RC10's on is a runner and the other is a used but cleaned up one for a shelf. I can't finish either of them cuz I have $0 extra. Gas Prices sucked up my funds. Now im just stuck looking and wishing and collecting cans to pay for my parts fund.

no pictures because I'm embarrassed of my mess! I'm prepping a RC10 Graphite and soon (I hope) a '93 YZ10 for the Nationals. I also have a Fireblade Evo in bags that I'd like to see assembled some day.

Nice avatar, Brian. Who else here knows who that is? (don't answer that, Keith)

I have 3 projects awaiting me right now. The first is really the only one I'm paying attention to right now, but the other two are out and taking up space.

I'm prepping a Pro Modified or a Top Sportsman car for electric drag racing. This car will is being set up right now as a T/S with 8-cells on a 8x2 ferrite mag mod motor. If my luck stays together, it will wind up being a 10-cell car on a 9x2 Neodymium rare earth 6-magnet mod motor. The body is a '53 Studebaker on an 11" Grand Motorsports GMS11 chassis.

My other two projects in limbo are my swb CAT rebuild, and a Frankenstein Los XX4we that needs to combine two partial cars to make one good, clean one. That car will get my long-saved XX4 Heavy Metal body mounts, bumpers and Classs 8 Ford body. wOOt!

I'll snap a shot of my workspace tonight. :D

BBC America. :D

It's one of the few TV programs I watch that doesn't involve a stick, ball or a political pundit. :D

JPAE07 wrote:Once I opened the gearbox I noticed that the diff lube used by the prev owner was actually a thick sticky red grease. The grease must have chemically reacted mixed with heat and fused the diff balls into the diff gear.
Back in the day, losi owners would loosen the diff to get better traction. Melted diff gears and thrust bearings were quite common. Losi began using a different thrust bearing design and supplied their kits with the "yellow" diff lube.
