Man, we got rain followed by short bursts of rain and then there was some rain. Not complaining though, 2-4 inches expected today from the storm out to sea and we are still in a deficit with water. We could use a nice tropical storm head on.

I never minded the snow..... never liked the single digis on the thermometer though, nor those that thought that were invisible on the roads when it was snowing. I know my own capabilities, but those around me

its a great place over this way.
If you do decide to come over this way, then id wait till Peter Jackson starts filiming the dam busters remake/tin tin/the hobbit films. most of which start in a couple of months.
when he was doing the lord of the rings, it wasnt uncommon to be sitting in a pub and all of a sudden haveing 2 or 3 cast members sit down and start talking to you.

That can be said for all driving conditions, whether that be weather related or driver related "conditions".

I grew up in the snow so driving in those conditions does not bother me. Like Jay, I know what I can and can't do. But for some reason, you throw snow, ice, or even heavy rain on NC roads and Katie bar door. It's like bumper cars out there. Here around Wilmington, if it starts to flurry, everything shuts down. And if you did not get your milk and bread the week before, too bad.
And why is it milk and bread always seem to be the first to go when weather gets bad? Is there some unwritten rule that says you can live on milk and bread? Give me a 12 pack of Pringles and a case of Budweiser.
