I'll update it with more pics in a week or so when I put the "retro" electronics in.

Looking good Keith, a couple of sweet lookin rides you can be proud of. Slowly but surely you're getting the cars together and they look great.

Thanks guys! I just threw the battery cup in the gold pan for looks for now. I didn't want to drill any new holes yet so I just used those stock holes that are off center. I'm finishing up my recent stock RC10 build which I just stole off of ebay for $110. It appears to have been run once or twice and then put on the shelf so it's really cleaning up like new. Other than that I'm working on my Siebenelch build and then my RC10 collection will be complete. I'll post pics of of those other builds when I finish them too!

the houge car looks great, keith.
wouldn't the receiver be a little too new, though? is it just temporary?

I can't remember exactly if the XXL Novak was correct for the period of that car. I do remember Novak having a receiver that was that size, but not sure on the model. That actual receiver I have on there now is kind of useless to me since it's the wrong band for my Magnum radio so it'll be temporary (antenna is still bundled) until I get my hands on a Tekin micro receiver. I'm not sure if the Tekin micro is period correct either, but it's not too big of an issue for me since it still looks cool. The radio I had as a kid was a Magnum Junior with a monstrous sized receiver so it's nice to have old cars with something sleek and compact looking.

Yep, that's the one. I'd really prefer a black one with the case in great shape, but I'd settle for red if the price was right and the flavor of frequency was what I needed.

I have a bunc, Keith, but I think they are all 27mhz. I'll have to look.
